- They are made to work like dogs. Both mentally and physically. Especially the PGs and the Interns. They are made to work in inhuman conditions just on the leverage of their degrees, squeezed to milk out the last traces of their spirit.
- Most of the medical students you see are probably sleep deprived. Cutting out the unnecessary BS from the syllabus and appointing posts like typists and phlebotomists can make life easier for the students, residents and interns.
- Most are in constant stress either from academics or from the lateral damage caused by it. Most of your professors don't care about your health. They just want no student to step out of their snake charming.
- They are unable to take a stance against the cruelty shown to them only because their degrees depends on the ego of some demented dinosaurs.
- Ironically, most of the med students have no choice but to resort to easily available foods, that are in most cases unhealthy. This is mainly due to their hectic lifestyle, or the crappy college mess.
- Understanding a med student is not easy. Most people cannot comprehend the hardships they face. They assume it's bad and give advices based on “severity”. In reality though, the “character” of that hardship matters, and any med student would want his near ones to know exactly that.
- Medical students sacrifice a lot to gain this special skill of saving lives. One of it includes sacrificing a part of our youthhood. It's real. It's not a metaphor nor an exaggeration.
- Actually there is a lot that can be done to improve the working conditions and academics of medical education in India. But unsurprisingly, the ones at the top, in their air conditioned rooms have planted their bottoms so comfortably that they seem to be afflicted by a sort of selective amnesia when it comes to matters of the younger generation. The main mental drive being, “I used to get phucd, so you too have to get yourself phucd! ” (Oh these blutty pastards).
- Medical health professionals and students have one of the highest prevalence of mental ill health in the society.
- Most of you will never work as hard as a true medical student. I'm not being pompous or basking in self glory, but frankly, I wish that I was lying.
