Me working in an office😀 / Arab working experience

Well, my salary is around 140 Kuwaiti Dinar (KD) per month right now..which equals to around 35000 INR. I am 23 years old, and here’s my story:

 

I come from a small town in Madhya Pradesh, I used to be a topper throughout my school. I got 92% in 12th commerce and decided to pursue a CA course.

My father works in a garage and earns little more than 10000rs a month. I got a cash prize from my school Rs .4500 for scoring the first rank in 12th.

 

I registered for CA-CPT and appeared for June attempt scored well. Around 124/200. My parents were extremely happy especially my father. We paid intermediate fees and started studying. I didn't join any classes nor did any college graduation as my father was struggling financially. Appeared for May 2016 attempt failed in both groups. Total score -398.

Father was really sad, He told me to appear next attempt this time group 1 cleared group 2 -Failed. Total score-412.

I was really depressed and shattered but finally decided to give next attempt group 2 failed again in isca and audit scored 28 in both.

 

My father told me that he can't keep paying for my studies as I was failing all the time. He experienced depression. He told me to get a job.

 

Finally, I got a job as an office clerk in a local law firm for 5000 pm worked there for 1.5 years but I wanted more salary. I had one friend whose father was a recruitment officer in an agency. I approached that agency that time in 2018 there were multiple vacancies for 12th pass staff for Kuwait based construction company. I applied for Office Boy position as it was the only option available to earn more. That time they had offered around 120 KD.

 

Now I’m in Kuwait, working as an office boy it's good here my work is good around 10 hours plus OT. I work for around 12 hours a day, work is simple like cleaning the office in morning ,which includes wiping tables,and mopping and serving tea to officers(Arabs have a habit to drink kehwa every 2 hours)so we need to be on toes every time, when we are free where we chat with fellow office boys, clean the kitchenette,wash utensils and cups.

Cleaning of the toilets is done regularly by us..twice a day….there are 3 office boys in total.Due to Covid 19,work has increased due to hygiene measures by the Kuwait Govt.

As the accomodation is provided by the company..we share it with other 2 office boys..One mate is from Indonesia and the other is from Bangladesh

 

 

I know My Dream was to be a CA and I am working at the low post for my Arab bosses I don't have any option but am satisfied and cannot keep the burden on my father. Now, I am already 2 years into this job. every year based on the performance we get an increment of 5~10KD…I expect my salary to increase slowly.

If I try to come to India, to study CA for which there’s no confirmed success. In this period of lockdown, when everyone is losing jobs I can't afford to leave this good job..Next year ,when I get leave ,will surely come to India and enroll in a distance learning course to improve my knowledge and get graduated at least..
