Do me a favor

Do me a favor.
Step outside.
Look at the sky. Look at the clouds against it. Does anything remain static? Anything?
Look around. Look at grass, trees, streets, people. Notice how everything is in motion, a perpetual state of frenzied transformation.
Look inside you. Your moods, your feelings. Turmoil, yes? (Or maybe that’s just me.)
Everything changes.
Do you know what the opposite of change is? Death.
Stagnation is the opposite of life.
It’s what things do when they are done.
I change because I am alive. I change because I am not a rock. I am more like water. I change because I am a survivor.
There is someone dazzling inside you - someone you are going to become. Stop at nothing to be that person. Go back to who you were for no one.
The next time someone says you’ve changed, smile broadly and say thank you.

I am not Responsible

Because it becomes easy to accept things this way.

Human beings find it very difficult to accept their own mistakes.

One of the hardest things to do in our lives is to forgive ourselves. We can easily forgive others for the hurt that they have caused us. But is it the same thing when it comes to accepting our own mistakes?

No. It is not the same. It is much easier to forgive others than ourselves.

When someone does wrong with you, they would give you an apology and you will either reconcile or not. It’s up to you whether to see them again or not. But when it’s you who have done the mistake, you find it harder to escape yourself.

It will be very easy for you to blame your family for your failure in an exam, marriage, life or career. You will try to find plenty of excuses to assure yourself that it was not your mistake.

I believe it’s all in our minds. We try to run away from real things and find solace in the explanation that makes it easier to accept ourselves. But this is not right because in this way we will never learn and hence will never grow.

Yeah, that’s it.

Mistakes that People Commit which lead to Miserable Life

  • The outcome (result) of your life is traceable to the inputs you made earlier in life. If you're hard on yourself today, so as to cultivate the right deeds and habits (required for success), you'll enjoy a life of ease later in life. But if you use your life to test run every pleasurable things that come your way (early in life), you'll end up experiencing hardness of life. To avoid such hard life experience, avoid the following costly mistakes

    1. Not Submitting (Subscribing) to Learning from the Experience of Others (elderly ones, esp those whose success record you admire and wish to replicate). It's often said that experience is the best teacher. But it must not be your own experience. A driver with no spare tyre is careful while driving, so as not to puncture the only one it has, in uncalculated driving. So, you ought to replicate that safety habit. The best way to do so, is by enquiring from other drivers that have gone ahead of you or those who have gone through the road you're presently driving on, for guidance. Failure to do this early enough in life, will leave you with limited options of a smooth sail and landing in life.

    1. Not taking responsibility for your life's outcome and finances early enough. This costly mistakes has wrecked the lives of many. Many, even in their 20s still depend solely on their parent for survival and also see their parent responsible for the outcome of their life. They don't wake up early to take responsibility for their finances and life's outcome. They don't start early to source for means of income (either to support themselves or their family). They see and make their parent, guardians and other relatives responsible for their finances and life's outcome. Wake Up and Give Desired (Appropriate) Shape to Your Life.

    1. Not having a defined or stable stand or direction in life. It's often said that those who do not have a stand or standard to live by, usually fall for anything that comes their way. Most people in their 20s follow every trend (fashion, music, etc) they see in the social media and around them, without taking time to analyze the ripple effect of their action. This unchecked habit has crippled many youth in their prime. They're tossed to and fro by every wind of fashion and environmental change. They end up falling as preys to their predators and regretting at last. You can't continue living like a chameleon and expect to have an outstanding life. If you really want to enjoy life in due time, prove all things that come your way and hold unto the profitable (the kind that’s capable of producing your desired success).

    1. Little or no commitment to personal growth. The youthful stage of ones life ought to be a time primarily dedicated to personal growth and development.  A tree that intend to last long and bear more fruit in its old age, takes time to grow its root downward and the branches upward. Life has always answered to the principle of sowing and reaping. It's an abnormally to reap what you never sowed into your life. If you don't want to reap hardness of life, later on in life, take time to deliberately commit yourself to personal growth and development. The issue with most people in their 20s, is that they want to live (enjoy) life first, before committing to personal growth. They end up not lasting long in their desired lifestyle.

    1. Not Starting Out Early in Life. Most young persons in their 20s allow the “I'm too young mentality” to limit their early progress in life. They succumb to the despise on youths for positive generational change. They allow the shouting and side talks of others to limit the expression of their potentials early enough. Never allow any man to look down on you because you're young. They don't know what your Creator has heavily deposited in you. I'll like to let you know that, you're not too young to become a multimillionaire. You’re not too young to start that business of your dream. You’re not too young to become a king (and a sought after person) in your niche (industry)

    • You're not too young to start that ministry of your calling. You're not too young to start initiating and building that godly relationship and home. You're not too young to start implementating that proven idea of yours.

Don't allow the river of mistakes that drowned men with heavy potential and promising future, to also drown you. CAREFULLY HEED TO THESE ADVICE DETAILED ABOVE.

Ugly Truth of Life

You have perhaps heard the famous quote attributed to Abraham Lincoln, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

Most people however don’t try to fool people, but rather spend their life pleasing different people like their parents, their spouse, their children, their bosses etc. However, they realize sooner or later this ugly truth of life that can be derived by paraphrasing the above quote as,
You can PLEASE some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not PLEASE all of the people all of the time.”

However, the ugliest truth of life is that whatever you do in your life, You CAN’T PLEASE even one person all of the time.

When you try to please any person, you end up displeasing another person.
After you have spend most of your life, you realize that you have failed to please even ONE person in your life and that everyone is unhappy with you.

Hence, most people end up being unhappy and frustrated in their life after realizing that they have wasted their life in their attempt to please so many people ignoring their own happiness.

There is only person worth pleasing in your life.

And that person is YOU.

If you fail to make yourself happy, you will end up being a loser because the world can never be pleased even if you give your life for them.

You must rather accept this ugly truth of life and learn to take care of yourself because you have the power to only make yourself happy.

-Dr.Awdhesh Singh,ex-IRS Officer

Tearing someone else down is evidence that you are unhappy with a part of your own life. The happier you are, the less you will criticize someone else, and the more empathy you will feel for what they are going through.
What someone says about you when they are unhappy with themselves is more about them than it is about you. As such, it's not ever a good guide for how to live your life. Don't make decisions based on what others might think or say. It will steer you wrong every time.
The busier you are working on you, your life and your happiness, the less time you will have to talk about others. And even better, the less time you will have to show any concern for what others say about you.

My advice for Students

First, and probably the most important: Grit and perseverance.
When you decide to shoot for a goal, keep going even when you start hitting obstacles.
Don’t give up. Don’t expect things to be easy, or the world to come to your rescue. Don’t quit. It is easy to say, but much harder to inculcate. But this is the most important

Second, a fitness regimen, ideally at the start of the day. Daily physical workout and meditation.

Third: Smart learning using active recall, Feynman technique, problem-solving, etc. Also, read a lot.
These would be at the top of my wishlist.

Why do colleges still teach C and C++ when I can't even build anything with these programming languages?

  1. I can build stuff just fine.
  2. The fact you can’t, perhaps is a good reason why it should be taught to you.

The Spirit to Never Give Upon Striving for Better Life

Do you recognize this famous street hawker occasionally featured in international media in discussions related to global economic dynamics?

He is Srivat Voravetvuthikun—Mr. Sandwich of Thailand.

Previously a high-flyer multi-millionaire businessman, Srivat went bankrupt by impacts of the infamous Asian financial crisis of the late 1990’s. The crisis not only took away all his fortunes but also left him in debts of millions of dollars.

But all this mishap could not smash him to simply become a poor and rot. Srivat took himself to the ground to kick off a restart, afresh.
His wife would make sandwiches from night till dawn and he would go out to the street to sell them starting early in the morning.
Soon he became a media-feature, a subject of the critics and many raised their eyebrows at the sight of a multi-millionaire selling sandwich on street.
But nothing could hold him back. Srivat stirred himself through.
Then, as he kept on doing what he was doing, the populace started to re-discover Srivat Voravetvuthikun. The dignity, courage and honesty that Srivat was trying to uphold: he was not trying to cheat or steal someone else’s money.
Nor was he trying to escape from his lenders. Nor did he choose to live a disgraceful life of a fallen runner. Instead, he was trying to re-establish himself, to stand again on his own feet, pay off his debts and live with his head held high in the society.
People now started buying his sandwiches.
Srivat’s sales started growing, then soaring. At the height of his popularity, he earned a loving nickname: Mr. Sandwich.
Soon Mr. Sandwich became a brand—one of its kind and ever, as Srivat started settling with his sandwich/coffee shops nationwide.

Mr. Srivat Voravetvuthikun once again became a millionaire. This time a more renowned one, and well-respected.

To answer the question— unless born with silver spoon in the mouth, a genuinely rich person does anything he/she needs to stay on. I’ve learned about this great man, and I also know about quite a few other rich men.

They work hard no less than the mediocrity, even harder than the average people. They don’t care how much it takes, what the critics talk on the face or behind. They only keep their promise to themselves: live in affluence with dignity.

How I worked hard for IITJEE

Short Answer: Motivation

Long Answer:

Through out my life, up until this point, I have worked much harder than average.

How do I know that? I just do.

When I was preparing for JEE

I’d wake up at 4 am every single day, weekends or not, and keep the same schedule 3 straight years, the last one being my drop year. I had a strict schedule and I tried my very best to not divert from it.
My motivation for the first two years was that I wanted to do it for my parents.

Not really a good one, right? But it still worked.

And then, when I couldn’t make it in my first attempt, and when I was on the verge of not taking a drop, the mere thought of being able to lift my head with pride if I were to clear the exam after my drop year, added as an additional motivation. It was strong enough to help me persist for another year.

When I was in college

There were times when my college mates would ask me often, how do I continue studying sincerely even after making it into an IIT. The answer was simple - I had motivation(s).

I had put 3 years of my life getting into a top college. I knew the value of those three years more than most people and there was no way I would have let them be for nothing By not making the most of the opportunity of studying in an IIT.

And so, for another five years, while most people would study in the last minute, I would start earlier and made sure I did the best I could, trying not to think much of the end result and believing in my process.

When I started working

Work life balance is supposed to be better if you’re working in a place like London, or so most people in India would think, but not when you’re working in a start-up filled with people who want to learn quickly and grow fast.

Almost every single day I have worked here, I have put 12–14 hours on an average, stretching up to 16 hours at times. All that, because I had reasons to do so.

  • There is no such thing as job security in any company. Especially when you’re away from home, you can’t take it lightly.
  • And when you’re the only earning member in your family, you have to make sure you do enough to not just make your job safe, but also earn enough to give your family a good life.

Many answers would have already used the cliche of working smart and not working hard. While that’s true to a certain extent, you still got to work hard.

You may find it difficult to find the right motivation for everything you do. But trust me, if you invest enough time finding it, working hard isn’t really so hard.

I studied during my drop year in store room

After 12th I decided to prepare for neet. I joined aakash Institute but you've to study at home too. Due to lack of space I used to study everyday on roof and there was this bathroom with no door. It was used for storing ultra extra stuff e.g. coolers during the period of winters.

I decided to make the little space that was still left there in that bathroom, my study place. (There was no fan, no light but sunlight😂)

I cleaned that place myself. There was a wooden box I made it my chair. And since I had no study table( since it was 2–3k costly) . Me and my papa made one ourselves by using 3 wooden planks.

I was there without fan during hot dry summers and believe me I enjoyed that feeling of breeze cooling the sweating me. When I used to get tired I would lye over the cot and look at sky. I preferred sky over human interaction .

When it was cold I would cover that door space with discarded bedsheets.

A year later, I cleared neet, joined ucms .

I've not achieved much in my life. I still fail but I still learn.

We lose when we lose in our mind. Never pitty on yourself and never let others do the same to you. Keep that self respect priority over any feeling.

I would say I learned from those days. There is always a way till there's a spark 🔥.

Here you can see cot, my study table, my chair, over chair that red thing is bedsheet. In the left there's ultra cooler.

The photo was taken on diwali, I never used this place during night : 2 reasons : mosquitos (I can bear with) , second : black cat ( kaali beeli) ( I can't bear with🏳)
